If Schreiber Refuses to Speak before the Ethics Committee tomorrow -Deport him

So it seems that Karlheinz Schreiber is once again up to his old tricks. His lawyer, Edward Greenspan has said that Schreiber is unlikely to cooperate before the HOC ethics committee, where he is scheduled to appear tomorrow.

It is amazing how far the opposition is willing to bend to accommodate his demands. Schreiber has once again managed to manipulate the HOC, Supreme Court and the ethics committee and is doing an effective job of making them look like fools. In any other country with an ounce of self-respect, Schreiber would have been deported long ago.

I think that its time that someone with a backbone gives him an ultimatum to either "put up or shut up". If Schreiber refuses to talk tomorrow, he should be considered as having given up his right to testify and should immediately be put on a plane to Germany to face fraud, bribery and tax evasion charges.

Schreiber's salami technique continues. Another thin slice of his never ending salami is handed out with promises of bigger and better things to come, as long as he can stay for another year or so to get it all out.

So far everyone down the line has signed on to Greenspan and Schreiber's game, from Mulroney to the NDP and Liberals. The only one not to sign on is Harper. Harper better not make a deal with this idiot or I will be very disappointed in him.

And with that statement, we say goodbye to you Mr. Schreiber. Don't let the HoC door hit you in the ass on the way out!

I can not believe that there would be any hope of him staying past Dec.01/07 if this statement rings true. Enough already.

Why can't those directly involved see what this tool is doing, it is certainly obvious to everyone else.

As I've said elsewhere:

Why not just deport Schreiber to the German embassy with a 60 day window during which the committee or enquiry can question him. Then he's still in Ottawa and also the German's are satisfied. As soon as the 60 days is up, or the first time he's caught in a lie, load him into an embassy car, drive it straight onto a hercules and he's off to Germany. Then he never has to set foot on Canadian soil again.

Of course they should also get a search warrant for his house, office and anywhere else he might have hidden any documents.

If he doesn't like this option, make the alternative that he waives his habeas corpus rights, and waits out the extradition and various enquiries in a dingy cell at Kingston.

I agree, get him out of here.
Where are all these people that think he should stay in Canada. I hear the Liberals and NDP saying that Canadians want him to stay. He's already stayed long enough.

You ask where these people are. Well they're the tinfoil hat wearing Garthbots over on his blog.

This guy is as transparent as saran wrap and the lefties are gobbling it up. What does that say about their intelligence?

I have question... what happens if (when) Schieber contradicts his sworn testimony that is already on record when the AirBus inquiry was going on?

This whole thing is ridiculous. Just another example of what happens when politicians put ideology and vendetta over sound reason. The Liberals are completely bankrupt morally and ideologically. The only way Canada could be more of a laughing stock now is if they were in power.

Maybe we could all sign a petition for the government to get this guy going to the country that wants him.

Fife just broke it on MDL that Nicholson has extended the extradition order to Dec. 10. Extension #1.

Under the law the order has to be executed by Dec. 30 (45 days after the extradition order was issued).
